April 02. A new waste treatment system has been approved by the EPA in Vic. that will treat all waste water from a domestic home, with the exception of toilet waste. The treated water quality complies with strict standards and can be recyled for reuse in the home for toilet flushing and clothes washing. This enables a saving of over 50% of water consumed by the home that would otherwise be wasted. The system is called the AG720 system, refer to the front page tab. No other system in Australia has been approved to recycle kitchen waste, so maximum savings can be achieved with this system. It is the only system in Australia which allows waterless toilets to be used and all other waste water to be treated and recycled to the home.
